Our Story
Lumison Lighting was founded in 2013 with the aim of combining a passion for lighting with an eye for design. Our belief in the impact of light drives us to create innovative and inspiring lighting design schemes. In 2015, alongside our lighting design studio, we opened our Oakham showroom as a space to display the latest lighting collections and technology.

We are James and Pippa Morrison, Lumison’s Creative Directors. As a husband and wife duo, we love to inspire and design with light.
James, Founder and Director, established Lumison Lighting after working for prominent industry leaders in both lighting design and manufacture. His broad experience of lighting design, product design and project management has given him a thorough understanding of specifying and installing lighting schemes in both residential and commercial properties. With his practical expertise and extensive lighting knowledge, James fully understands the needs of our clients.
Pippa started her career working in luxury travel and corporate hospitality. With her creativity and unwavering attention to detail, she joined the Lumison team to help the business evolve into a lighting design studio.
Bringing ideas to Light
As our studio has grown over the years, our roles have continued to develop to compliment each other. We bring together a wealth of knowledge and a wide-ranging set of skills, alongside a collaborative and relaxed approach. James predominantly focuses on our lighting design projects and Pippa oversees sales and marketing and the showroom.
We both spend a large amount of time sourcing new light fixtures and lighting technologies many of which are on display in the showroom. We handpick our lighting collections to achieve the perfect balance between quality and value, and our expansive knowledge of the best products on the market informs our inspired lighting design schemes.

In a world where online buying accounts for so much, we have held our own because unlike many 'online only' retailers we are lighting specialists with many years experience in design, manufacturing and installation. Our passion for exceptional lighting has established our reputation and we take great pride in giving our clients a comprehensive and personal service along with honest, practical and friendly advice.
